Teaching Practice PHASE II - Week 6

Day 26

It was the twenty sixth day of the final phase teaching practice. The school started at 9.30 am as the usual timing. I had the third period for A. At first, the students submitted all their works along with the notebooks. I appreciated all the students equally who book effort in completing all the tasks given. After that, I continued with the play "Listen to the Mountain". The positive encouragement from the students made do something creative." me I made few students to take the soles of the characters and to read it It so effective. was for the rest of the students to comprehend it more clearly. I discussed the activities in the and questions given testbook. After my period, I took part in the practice session of the students for celebrating Independence Day on monday.

Day 27

Today was the twenty seventh day of the final phase of the teaching practice. As the day began. with the prayer song and school assembly, I had class for IX A during the second period and sixth day. On at first the second period, I continued the play "Listen to the Mountain". The students gave summary and after that I made them silently read the play till Stene TV and its four exchanges. The meaning of new words. were clearly explained using clear and simple examples. After that, I explained the entire portion to the whole class. The questions were discussed alongwith the activities given in the testbook. After lunch break, I engaged the students by teaching them the grammar portion "Question Tag" using the model Direct Instruction. The topic was clearly conveyed to them. Overall, the day was good for me.

Day 28

It was the twenty  eighth day of the final phase of teaching practice. I took the second pewod and steth period for 18 d. During the second period, I taught them the rest of the play. "Listen to the Mountain As usual, I made three students to the previous portions learned in order to a proper understanding. After that, I asked some questions related to the came. Then I have asked Continued with the play. The questions and activities. in the textbook were also discussed. During the sixth period, I taught them Uncountable Nom' and 'Countable Noun: In order to make these topics elear, I adopted Advance Onganizer Model. The students understood the tople well. The expense me every day I receive will be always cherished it it moulds me in a better person.

Day 29

Today the second last of our final phase teaching practice, with the school simbly and prayer sung, the day got. started. During the time of the first period. I prepared lesson plans for the coming classes. During the second period, I had class for class A gave them few questions which is important in the play. They all answered the questions. After that, I continued the play billed "Listen to the Mountain: I concentrated on the and the two important exchanges. The and a proper Stene V students actively paid attention.

Eye contact was maintained with me. the After portion, I acted two students to summarize it. They did it excellently and in the light of that. I appreciated other students to answer some questions.

Today was the last day of the final phase of the teaching practice. I had class for IX A only after the lunch break. So I decided to get a substitution. in the morning session. Luckily, I get a period during the second period. During the period, I distributed some sweek to the students token of love for cooperating cs a throughout the whole thirty days. I also with me distributed tossecled achievement test answercheeks to the thom. The top scorer, Kezia rest of the class were congratulated by the gave a small gift which I offered.

Day 30

Today was the last day of the final phase of the teaching practice. I had class for IX A only after the lunch break. So I decided to get a substitution. in the morning session. During the seventh period, I planned to finish the play. I was able to convey the main points to them. I discussed all the questions and activities. givers textbook. Everything was in the smoothly coordinated alongwith the cooperation of the students. The students gave a summary of the whole play. It was always unique in a my me with chocolates and class. I wished them good memorable day for my heart.

Teaching Practice PHASE II - Week 5

 Week Report

Day 21 - 01/08/2022, Monday

It was the twenty first day of the second phase teaching practice. The school began its function by 9.30 am with the school assembly. Today , as the new week begins the school also changed the timetable with. slight variations in the periods. I was free during the morning session I had only the alloted period during the fourth period. I prepared new chapter for today's class.  

During the fourth period, I asked the students about Gandhiji. Most of the students responded with many amazing facts. I introduced the chapter "Song of the Rain" . The eagerness of the students to learn more was reflected in their inquisitiveness of the children. I managed the class with regard to time and discipline. I also made few students to feedback about  my  class. They shared a positive feedback and the day was a good one for me. 

Day 22- 08/08/2022, Tuesday

Today was the twenty second day of the second phase teaching practice. As usual, the school started it's functioning alongwith the prayer song and the assembly.I was well prepared for my today's class on the second period. At first, I made one of the student to summarize the portions taught yesterday. I asked few questions to once again bring into attention to the main points. After that, I took the desired portion. I summarized it and discussed the questions given in the textbook. I tried to bring the attention of the students to the curriculum of Gandhiji's perspective. Students active very throughout the class and properly maintained discipline in the class. I managed time and randomly checked a few notebooks and assignments of the students.  I gave them tips to improve handwriting, speaking skills, writing skills, etc. I  gave them an assignment and asked to submit it tomorrow.

Day 23- 10/08/2022, Wednesday

It was the twenty third day of the teaching practice phase two. The school assemble and the prayer song begin at sharp 9.30 am. After that, the classes began at 9.45 am. As the  morning session was free for me, I prepared for my class in the afternoon.  After the lunch break and during the fifth period, I took class for IX A. Few students volunteered to say the summary. Then I continued with the lesson by incorporating equal participation from the children. I was able to manage. and maintain discipline in the class. Jiby Sir observed my class and gave me feedbacks as well. The students enthusiastically submitted their assignments. appreciated them for doing their task within the alloted time. I tried to bring into attention their weak points whether its pronunciation, neatness, etc to improve themselves.

Day 24- 11/08/2022, Thursday 

Today was the twenty fourth day of the final phase of teaching practice. I reached the school by 9.20 am and the prayer song and the assembly began at 9.30 am. I was well prepared and clearly planned to excute today's class effectively. I had class for IP A on the fourth period as per the timetable. I started the class with asking few questions to the students. The questions were readily answered by the students quickly. I gave a summary about the portions already taught. The students actively listened to the explanations. I collected the assignments and notebooks of the students. Students listened to the summary given at the end. The students were active in the participation of all the tasks given with proper discipline. I am happy that I can finish the chapter in the desired time. 

Day 25- 12/08/2022, Friday 

Today was the twenty fifth day of the final phase of teaching practice. As the normal day, the functioning of the school began with the prayer song the school assembly. Noun Folder

 An innovation is an idea that has been transformed into practical reality. There is no single definition of innovation in education. One thing is for sure is that innovation has a very important place in education. Innovation included finding better ways of doing something and new to look at problems instead of teaching any concepts in the normal way. Innovative teachers are instinctive about student challenges such as lack of understanding, loss of focus, low engagement or demotivation. They strive to find new ways to keep students on task, motivate them to do their best, encourage them to succeed.

Innovation can be defined simply as “new idea, device or method”. Innovation work helps a teacher to teach a lesson early. The role of Innovative work is very important in English teaching. In order to teach a lesson innovatively the teacher must use lot of pictures, games, models and songs. In teaching learning process the role of innovation work is very important. It makes the class interesting.

My innovative work during the phase II teaching practice is an aid to teach students nouns especially proper noun,common noun and collective noun. The topic  nouns turn out to be confusing to the children in many circumstances. So I decided to implement something creative so as to gain the interest of the students as well as to convey the topic clearly. I prepared a board and titled it as ‘My Noun Folder’. Inthis particular board, I divided it into three sections and explained three types of nouns by giving a simple definition. Under that, several pictures given and it was covered. The students should uncover it and should identify the correct type of noun given in the form of picture. This technique was highly effective to teach different types of nouns. This method was highly recommended as it will give the students a clear comprehension as their active participation is involved in it.
